Achievements:
Professional

  • As In-charge of Eastern Railway Diesel Locomotive Shed, Jamalpur, effected a turnaround in performance of the unit with 30-40% improvement in all major parameters like Reliability and Availability of locos. The Shed won the “Best Diesel Shed Shield” for the first time in its 14- year history. Was nominated for the Minister of Railways’ Award and won the General Manager’s Award for Professional Excellence in 2005
  • As Functional Head of Operations and Maintenance at Malda Division, won the General Manager’s Award for Professional Excellence in 2002 for all round improvement in the key performance indices of Malda Division
  • As Functional Head of Operations at Dhanbad Division, won the “Operations Shield” for best all- round performance in operations in 1999 and 2000
  • In the current assignment as Operations Head for Eastern Railway, affected a significant improvement in operational efficiency, resulting in a record growth in loading and revenues. Was nominated for the Minister of Railways Award for 2009
